Make it your own

The base of this ice cream consists of heavy cream and condensed milk. That’s it! 2 ingredients! Then, you can add whatever you want to invent your own flavor. Possibilities are endless! BUT, yes, there’s a little but. When you add liquid ingredients like fruit purees, it affects the creaminess of the ice cream.

I would rather go with ingredients like cookies, peanut butter, nuts, cereal, or chocolate chips for this recipe. But that’s just me. I don’t like creamy, fruity ice creams. I like fruity ice creams only when they are sorbet-like.
Oh, one important thing! This Oreo ice cream is really sweet. I like it because 1 portion is enough πŸ˜‰ But it may be too sweet for some people. In case you’re worried it will be too sweet for you, use unsweetened condensed milk (evaporated milk) instead of sweetened one or mix these two.

The best idea is to experiment! Try different combinations and see what works best for you!

In all my recipes 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml, 1 tablespoon equals 20 ml, 1 cup equals 250 ml. Spoons and cups are lightly packed.

 395 g Sweetened condensed milk (1 can)
 2 cups Heavy cream
 12 Oreo cookies (crushed)
 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)

1

Beat heavy cream with a hand or stand mixer (you can even use a blender) until thick and creamy.

2

Add condensed milk and mix together using the mixer again.

3

Add crushed Oreo cookies and mix again. I like my cookies to be totally crushed to a sand-like consistency, but you can crush it to bigger pieces.

4

Pour the ice cream into a container, eg. air-proof plastic or glass one. Cover.

5

Freeze for at least 6h.

6

The more you freeze the harder it gets - take it out from the freezer a few minutes before serving if it's in the freeze more than 10h.
