Creamy Chicken And Bacon Pasta
A mouthwatering chicken and bacon pasta that will satisfy your cravings, I promise! 🙂
It will be on your table in less than 30 minutes. And, you’ll need just a few basic ingredients to make it. Minimum effort, maximum flavor! 🙂
This Creamy Chicken And Bacon Pasta recipe is ridiculously simple, yet so satisfying! Don’t believe me? Take a look at this comfort food checklist!
Comfort food craving checklist:
- PASTA
- CREAMY, rich SAUCE
- Crispy pieces of BACON
- Freshly grated PARMESAN cheese
- EASY and QUICK to make
- MINIMUM INGREDIENTS
It checks all the boxes!

Ingredients checklist
Speaking about ingredients, here’s all you need to cook this luxurious pasta tonight!
Ingredients checklist:
- Chicken breast – I love to use chicken breast for this recipe, but boneless, skinless chicken thighs will work too!
- Smoked bacon – you cannot skip it!!
- Heavy cream – at least 25% fat so it won’t curdle.
- Garlic and onion
- Fresh parmesan cheese
- Spices and herbs – I usually season this pasta just with salt and black pepper. But feel free to add a pinch of dried herbs such as rosemary, thyme, basil, or chili flakes for a little kick!
- Olive oil and butter
If you feel like it, you can throw in some veggies. Think spinach, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, broccoli. All of these combine perfectly! 🙂

In all my recipes 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml, 1 tablespoon equals 15 ml, 1 cup equals 250 ml. Spoons and cups are lightly packed.
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add pasta and cook for the time written in the instructions MINUS 2 minutes (it will finish cooking in the sauce). Drain reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water.
Meanwhile, cut chicken breast into bite-size chunks. Season with salt and pepper and set aside. Chop bacon.
Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped bacon and fry until crispy.
Add 1-2 tsp of butter. Add chicken and cook for 4 minutes, stirring often.
Add onion, garlic and cook for 2 minutes more, until soft.
Add cream, reserved water from cooking pasta, and parmesan. Mix together, season with herbs, pepper, and optionally with chili flakes.
Bring to the boil and simmer over medium-low heat for around 2 minutes. When the sauce starts to thicken, add pasta.
Toss together and simmer for 2 minutes more. Do this step until you get the sauce consistency you want. If your sauce gets too thick, add a splash of water.
Serve!
