What you need

For this super simple porridge recipe you will need just a few ingredients like rolled oats, milk, dates, and chocolate.

Here’s the full list:

  • Old-fashioned rolled oats – you can use gluten-free is needed. I use around 1/3 cup of oats per serving. I find it enough for me, but feel free to use more.
  • Milk – any milk will work! I used the almond one.
  • Dark chocolate – choose your favorite one. Milk chocolate is great too, but the dark one is a healthier choice!
  • Dates – I used fresh dates, but feel free to swap it out for dried ones. Dates work here as a natural sweetener and you don’t need to add any sugar/maple syrup/honey at all. If you skip dates, just be sure to add a bit of sugar.
  • Fruits and shredded coconut for topping – you can also add chopped nuts, seeds, or nut butter.

This is an easy oatmeal recipe that will take you around 10 minutes to make! 🙂
