Mango Spinach Smoothie

I love smoothies! They are simple and easy to make, healthy, and full of vitamins. And this mango spinach smoothie is one of my favorites. Don’t be scared of the green color, this smoothie is delicious!

Now I have to admit that I was always a little bit scared of green smoothies. Spinach in a smoothie? Ugh, it cannot taste good! 🙈 I was so wrong! I decided to give it a try and I think I’ve made the most delicious smoothie I’ve ever had!

Baby spinach has a neutral flavor and you cannot really taste it. It also blends perfectly, so you end up with a truly smooth, silky smoothie.

This smoothie will win you over with the first sip!

What you need and how to make it

This gorgeous smoothie requires just a few ingredients!

Here’s your checklist:

  • Mango – ripe, sweet fresh or frozen mango.
  • Baby spinach – fresh is the best.
  • Orange juice – I used 2 ripe and juicy oranges. You can also use fresh store-bought orange juice. Pineapple or apple juice works great too!
  • Grated ginger, lime juice, and a few fresh basil leaves – this is our seasoning. It takes this smoothie to the whole new level and makes it absolutely delicious.
  • Honey – or sugar or another sweetener. Totally optional.
  • Ice cube – if you’re using fresh mango, it’s good to add a few ice cubes.

That’s it! 🙂

This is a really easy and quick recipe, so all you need to do is to throw all the ingredients into the blender and process until smooth!

This looks amazing, I wonder how it would taste without the sugar/sweetener as I am a diabetic and can’t use either. I may have to try it and then report the results. #TrafficJamWeekend

I love mangoes, but I’d have to give this a try to be a believer in the spinach addition! But, I do like kale smoothies, so I’d be willing to give it a try!

Give it a try! It is really good 🙂 But you need to definitely add fresh ginger and basil or mint!
