Meatballs With Mushroom Gravy

This meatballs with mushroom gravy recipe involves making well-seasoned meatballs using ground beef, then making some delicious mushroom sauce. It all combines together to create an epic dinner! It’s amazing! 🙂

It’s an easy, cost-effective, and most importantly extra tasty dish! You’ll be surprised how flavorful and soft these meatballs are! They go perfectly with mashed potatoes, but you can serve them with rice, pasta, or even bread. Up to you!

Making these beautiful meatballs is similar to making Thai Chicken Meatballs With Tomato Coconut Sauce or Greek Meatballs With Tomato Sauce. Have you tried them already? 🙂

First, we mix all the meatballs ingredients together, then we shape the meatballs, and then we cook them! You can fry or bake the meatballs, I prefer frying for this recipe. We’ll use the same pan to prepare the mushroom gravy, so it’ll be even more delicious!

Ingredients Checklist

Surely, you’re wondering what you’ll need to cook these meatballs! Here’s your checklist. Most ingredients are pantry staples!

Meatballs:

  • Ground beef – it’s okay to add a little bit of ground pork, but I don’t recommend using ground chicken/turkey.
  • Ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, soy sauce – this is our seasoning. Please don’t skip a thing! I like to use Dijon mustard, but simply use the mustard you like.
  • Onion – grated, as in all my meatballs and patties recipes. There’s nothing more horrible than a large piece of uncooked onion in a meatball! Brrr!
  • Garlic – essential.
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Egg
  • Salt, pepper, dried oregano

And here’s you mushroom gravy checklist:

  • Mushrooms
  • Mustard, Worcestershire sauce – to season the sauce. As with the meatballs, use the mustard you like.
  • Garlic and onion – basics!
  • Beef broth – homemade would be the best, but don’t worry too much about it. I’ve used broth made out of beef bouillon cube.
  • Cream
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt, pepper, dried oregano

Ewa what a great recipe – I’ve never put mustard in beef meatballs, although we serve mustard with beefsteak… I’ll try that next time! Thanks for sharing at Fiesta Friday.
