This simple Braised Chicken Breast recipe is all about juicy, moist chicken breast in a delicious, delicate, creamy sauce with green peas and carrots. An easy one-pot midweek meal made with everyday ingredients that you can prepare in less than 20 minutes! Comfort food at its best!
Cut chicken breast into smaller pieces and lightly pound. Season with salt and pepper and set aside. Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, grate or chop the carrot.
Heat a large pan or skillet over medium heat with 2 tbsp of butter and a little bit of oil (it prevents the butter from burning). Quickly brown the chicken and remove from the pan.
Add chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes, until soft.
Add garlic and carrot and cook for 2 minutes more.
Add peas, broth, all the seasoning, and transfer the chicken back. Simmer energetically for 10 minutes uncovered.
Then, add heavy cream and mix.
Simmer for 5 minutes more.
