A hearty and comforting traditional Polish dish. Try this easy and quick recipe for Beans In Tomato Sauce With Sausage for a truly delicious meal. Made with simple ingredients, these smokey beans will be on your table in 30 minutes!

 2 Cans of white beans (or any you like, or 3 cups of cooked beans)
 150 g Smoked Polish sausage (kieĊ‚basa, or any other sausage you like)
 150 g Smoked bacon
 1 Onion
 2 Garlic cloves (minced)
 1 Can of tomatoes (or 350 g of tomato puree)
 2 tbsp Tomato paste
 1 tbsp Soy sauce (all-purpose or light)
 ½ tsp Sugar
 ½ cup Water
 3 Bay leaves
 3 Allspice berries
 1 tbsp Dried marjoram
 1 tsp Smoked paprika
 ½ tsp Dried parsley (1 tsp fresh, chopped parsley)
 Salt and pepper
 Lard or oil fo frying

Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic. Chop and sausage and bacon.


Heat a pot over medium heat with a little bit of oil or lard. Cook sausage and bacon until crispy, for about 5 minutes stirring often. Then, add onion, garlic, bay leaves, and allspice berries, and cook for 2 minutes more, until onion is soft.


Add beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, soy sauce, water, dried herbs, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to boil, then lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir from time to time. The sauce should be thick - if you want, you can add more water.


Taste if more salt is pepper is needed. Serve with bread!
