Honey Lime Chicken

This Honey Lime Chicken recipe with cilantro, soy sauce, chili, and garlic is one of the best chicken recipes ever! It's SO DELICIOUS! The honey lime chicken marinade infuses the chicken with fresh, savory flavors and makes it truly juicy and moist!

 4 Chicken breasts (700 g)
 ¼ cup Lime juice (around 3 limes)
 ¼ cup Honey
 ¼ cup Soy sauce (all-purpose or light)
 1 tbsp Olive oil
 3 Garlic cloves minced
 ½ cup Chopped fresh cilantro
 ¼ tsp Chilli flakes
 ¼ tsp Black pepper
 1 pinch Salt

Pound the chicken breast lightly with a rolling pin.


Mix all marinade ingredients, add chicken, and marinate for a few hours at least, the best overnight.


Remove the chicken from marinade shaking off the excess.

Cooking in the pan/skillet

Heat a little bit of oil in a large pan/skillet over medium heat. Place chicken breast and cook for 5 minutes each side, until golden brown.


Remove from the pan and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Baking in the oven

Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius degrees. Bake the chicken breast for 20 minutes, flipping in the middle. Remove from the oven and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

If you use the bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs/drumsticks, bake the chicken for 50 minutes. If the chicken is browning too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
