The crunchy, buttery base is topped with dulce de leche, roasted salted nuts, chopped chocolate, and cookies! Irresistible! This simple, delicious cake is a must during Easter in Poland, and after you try it, it'll be a must for you too!
Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius degrees.
Cut the butter into cubes. In a big bowl, mix together and knead all of the shortcrust ingredients until you're able to form a bowl. Don't knead too much - just enough to mix all the ingredients.
Cover with foil and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Remove from the fridge and divide into smaller pieces.
Grease the baking tray and lay down with baking paper. Then, transfer the dough and press firmly into the bottom of your tray, until it's all covered with a layer of the dough. Make some holes with the fork.
Bake for around 15 minutes.
until it's golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Now you can decorate it! I poured over a can of dulce de leche (kajmak) and topped it with chopped nuts, dark chocolate, and Oreo cookies.
