This Simple Tomatoes And Capers Pasta is a quick and easy dish that makes the perfect midweek meal. Made with ripe tomatoes, capers, garlic, olive oil, and basil is full of fresh, bright flavors. Incredibly simple and light pasta that will be on your table in 15 minutes!

Simple Tomatoes And Capers Pasta

 180 g Spaghetti
 3 Ripe tomatoes
 2 tsp Capers
 4 Garlic cloves
 ½ Small onion
 ¼ cup Reserved water from cooking pasta
 ¼ tsp Fresh chilli (chopped)
 ½ tsp Dried basil
 ½ tsp Dried oregano
 Salt and pepper
 Olive oil

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add pasta and cook al dente for the time written in the instructions. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water.

Meanwhile, finely chop chilli and onion, finely slice the garlic. Chop tomatoes and capers.

Heat a large pan over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add garlic, chilli, and onion. Fry for 3 minutes, until translucent. Add chopped capers. Stir.

Add tomatoes and more olive oil. Season with pepper and herbs. Fry for 5 minutes - stirring from time to time. Add reserved water from cooking pasta, fry for 2 minutes more.

Add pasta. Toss together and simmer for 1 minute. Taste and season with salt, pepper, or herbs if needed.
