  • Smoked sausage
  • Potatoes
  • Onion – the red one is great here.
  • Bell pepper
  • Thyme, Oregano, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, Pepper – to season the dish.
  • Oil
  • Green onions or chives to top – optional

What sausage can I use?

I used good quality Polish smoked sausage (kielbasa). But you can use any sausage you like! Italian sausage, Spanish chorizo… whatever you fancy!

Can I add more vegetables?

Of course! Think carrots, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, sweet potato, mushrooms, green beans.

What type of potatoes can I use?

I tried this dish with different kinds of potatoes, and they all work great. Don’t worry much about it. You can use small, cocktail potatoes, or regular ones cut into smaller bites.

In all my recipes 1 teaspoon equals 5 ml, 1 tablespoon equals 15 ml, 1 cup equals 250 ml. Spoons and cups are lightly packed.

 600 g Smoked sausage (or any other you like)
 1 Bell pepper
 ½ Red onion
 2 Garlic cloves (crushed)
 4 Potatoes
 2 tbsp Oil
 Green onions (chopped, to top, optional)
Seasoning
 1 tsp Dried oregano
 1 tsp Dried thyme
 1 tsp Paprika powder
 1 pinch Cayenne pepper/chilli flakes
 Salt and pepper

Cut the sausage and onion into thick slices. Peel and cut potatoes into small cubes. Cut pepper into slices or cubes.

Place all ingredients in a big bowl. Add all oil and all the spices. Mix.

Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius degrees.

Transfer all the ingredients into a baking tray or dish. Bake for 40 minutes.

Serve with chopped green onions on top!
