What goes in salsa

This is a simple recipe, so you’ll need just a few ingredients to make it. Plus, some of them are optional!

Here’s your spicy pineapple salsa checklist:

  • Ripe, fresh pineapple – not canned, not frozen.
  • Fresh chilli – any you like and as much as you like!
  • Fresh cilantro – finely chopped.
  • Fresh ginger, lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper – for “the dressing”.

This is the base. Just with these ingredients, your salsa will be super tasty! But if you want to, you can add more!

So optionally:

  • Red bell pepper – to add something crunchy.
  • Avocado – for creaminess.

I like this salsa with and without these optional ingredients. 🙂
